Product

YTubeMind turns long YouTube videos into summaries and question-answering sessions. The product needed a stable path from an arbitrary video link to subtitles, LLM processing and a user-facing Telegram workflow.

What I built

  • Split subtitle retrieval, summarization, authentication and Telegram interaction into FastAPI services.
  • Implemented summary and question-answering flows through OpenRouter with parameterized model selection.
  • Added aiogram-based bot interactions, credit balances and native YooKassa payments.
  • Introduced shared request tracing and centralized logging across service boundaries.

Architecture

Telegram bot → auth/credits → transcript fetcher → summarizer/QA → OpenRouter

The transcript layer handled videos without usable subtitles, while trace IDs made multi-service requests easier to investigate. Docker kept the service set reproducible.

Result

  • Delivered the full path from a YouTube URL to a summary or follow-up answer.
  • Integrated working payment and receipt flows.
