Product

Animy AI turns a user photo into a short vertical video suitable for stories, guided by the user's prompt. The MVP had to hide the latency of external generation, keep multiple users isolated and enforce product limits.

What I built

  • Implemented the Telegram interaction flow for receiving images and returning generated videos.
  • Integrated fal.ai for photo-to-video generation and moved processing into an asynchronous workflow.
  • Added PostgreSQL-backed user accounting, usage limits and payment logic.
  • Packaged the service in Docker for repeatable server deployment.

Architecture

Telegram image → validation and job creation → fal.ai generation → asynchronous result delivery

User state and limits remained in PostgreSQL, while generation jobs could complete independently of the Telegram update handler.

Result

  • Delivered a working multi-user bot for generating short vertical videos from photos.
